STEPHEN HOFER TO SPEAK AT NBAA VAN NUYS REGIONAL FORUM ON JUNE 9
Stephen Hofer, President of the Aerlex Law Group, will be speaking at the National Business Aviation Association’s (NBAA) Van Nuys Regional Forum to be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the Van Nuys Airport.
The regional forum is being hosted by Landmark Aviation and Signature Flight Support and will take place at the Landmark hangar (formerly TWC Aviation) at 16700C Roscoe Boulevard in Van Nuys.
Mr. Hofer’s presentation is entitled “Buyer’s Guide to a Successful Aircraft Transaction” and will focus on a team-oriented approach that includes an aviation attorney, tax professional, broker, lender and aircraft inspector, all working together to successfully complete an aircraft acquisition. The Buyer’s Guide presentation will identify best practices and offer suggestions on how to avoid pitfalls. Attendees will learn how to bring structure to the transaction process and build a team for success, utilizing NBAA resources including the Aircraft Transactions Guide, and evaluating competing considerations that may arise during the transaction process, such as tax planning versus compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
In addition to Mr. Hofer’s presentation, Aerlex Law Group will exhibit at the Van Nuys Forum and Aerlex personnel will be on hand at Booth 317 to discuss aviation-related legal and tax issues. Stephen Hofer, along with attorneys Douglas Stuart and Craig Weller, will be available throughout the day to speak with clients and other forum visitors.
The Van Nuys Regional Forum is one in a series of three annual one-day regional conferences sponsored by the NBAA at selected airports and FBOs around the country. The Forums are educational and peer networking conferences that bring together current and prospective business aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, customers and other industry professionals to share information and discuss issues affecting aviation in the region. The conferences also provide a valuable introduction for local business leaders interested in learning more about the aviation industry.
NBAA expects some 1,500 attendees to visit the Van Nuys Forum which will offer over 120 indoor exhibitors and more than 20 aircraft participating in a static display of aircraft. The static display offers a unique opportunity for potential buyers and operators to compare the latest business aircraft side by side in one location. At the indoor exhibit halls, attendees can view and learn about the latest aviation equipment, products, services and supplies.
